AutoClarity is an informational vehicle-guidance application designed to help users better understand possible vehicle issues using structured diagnostic logic inspired by real-world automotive troubleshooting practices.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use AutoClarity.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect limited information necessary to operate the app, including:
- Symptom selections and diagnostic inputs
- Generated report data
- App usage data (e.g., screens viewed, actions taken)
- Purchase, subscription, and entitlement status
- Device and technical information (e.g., device type, OS version)
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as full payment card numbers.
2. Analytics and Tracking
We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how users interact with the app, including events such as app opens, diagnostic flows, paywall views, and purchases.
This information is used to improve performance, usability, and conversion flow. Analytics data may be aggregated and does not directly identify you.
3. Purchases and Subscriptions
AutoClarity offers one-time report unlocks and optional auto-renewing subscriptions.
- All payments are processed securely by Apple via the App Store
- We do not store or process your payment card details
- Subscriptions are managed through your Apple account
We use RevenueCat to manage purchase validation, subscription status, and entitlements. RevenueCat processes limited technical and transaction information (such as device type and purchase history) on our behalf as a service provider.
4. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide app functionality and diagnostic reports
- Verify purchases and subscriptions
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Analyze usage trends
- Respond to support requests
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
5. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted third-party providers strictly for operating the app, including:
- Analytics providers (e.g., Firebase/Google)
- Subscription infrastructure (e.g., RevenueCat)
- Hosting and backend services
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect users, property, or safety.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Data Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of data associated with your use of AutoClarity by emailing support@getautoclarity.com from the device or with details that help us locate your records. Upon a verified request, we will delete or de-identify the information we and our service providers (such as RevenueCat and Firebase) hold about your app usage, where deletion is technically feasible and not required to be retained by law.
Please note that purchase and billing records are held by Apple and are subject to Apple's own policies; we cannot delete records held by Apple.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the European Union, United Kingdom, or California), you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@getautoclarity.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
AutoClarity is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Informational Use Disclaimer
AutoClarity provides informational guidance only. Outputs are generated based on user input and predefined diagnostic logic and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your specific vehicle.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of changes.
